Damon Industries is a privately held family business that was founded in 1963 in Reno, Nevada. From the company's humble beginnings distributing soft drink syrups and bottled orange juice in the growing city of Reno, Damon Industries has evolved into an international manufacturer and wholesale distributor of shelf stable fruit juice concentrates, bar mixes, smoothie flavorings and formulae, granita syrups, frosted cocktail mixes and non-carbonated and carbonated beverages. Damon Industries is a pioneer of shelf stable beverage products and the first manufacturer of juice concentrates to use bag-in-box (BIB) packaging. With production facilities in Sparks, Nevada and Toronto, Ontario, its predominant package is BIB, which comes in sizes ranging from 4 liter to 5 gallon. The 3 gallon size is the industry standard and is Damon's most popular size. In addition to the BIB package, other packages include plastic bottles that range in size from quarts to gallons. Under the Fruitful name, Damon Industries currently manufactures over 200 different products with a suite of juice products for most flavors that range from 100% juice to 0% drinks. All products are shelf stable, so no refrigerator or freezer space is required. The products are designed to be reconstituted and dispensed by use of equipment that is typically either a countertop unit or a bar gun, for commercial use, or hand mixed for the home and other lower volume venues. This dispensing environment results in tremendous savings in labor and waste over conventional methods of dispensing. Damon Industries' customer base includes specialty beverage distributors, food service distributors, major recreational accounts (casinos and mega-resorts) and direct national accounts throughout the United States and Canada. Additionally, Damon has a strong presence in the Caribbean and Mexico and is currently shipping a limited array of super concentrates to Europe and Central America. Damon Industries distributes its products to the end user in northern Nevada and Toronto, Ontario. By doing so, it is better able to stay abreast of the end user's needs with regard to product taste and quality profiles, labeling, nutrition, pricing and equipment.
